Young shooters from Essentuki took first place at the Presidential Competition

Sixth-graders from Essentuki school No. 8 took part in the final stage of the competition for the Russian President’s Cup. Throughout September, the children fought for the honor of the city and the region in the Orlyonok children’s camp, reports the press service of the city mayor’s office.
The presidential competitions in the Tuapse region brought together 1,518 schoolchildren from 87 regions of Russia. In the accuracy test, Essentu residents competed with 54 teams from all over Russia and took first place.
The resort team was formed back in September 2022 during the school stage of the competition. Then the best results were shown by athletes from class 5-B. Within a year, the guys passed the municipal and regional stages of the Presidential competition and became leaders.
Teachers from school No. 8 helped in preparing the Essentu residents, and air rifle shooting classes were conducted by the head of the school shooting range, Sergei Ivanov.
The final stage of the All-Russian competition includes all-around sports, relay running, theoretical and creative competitions.
