Dagestan kettlebell lifters achieved success at the Championships of the Southern Federal District and North Caucasian Federal District

At the SFD and NCFD Kettlebell Lifting Championships, held in the village of Leningradskaya, Krasnodar Territory, Dagestan athletes showed excellent results, winning medals of various types. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Dagestan.
Dagestan was represented at these competitions by students from the Beliji and Parus sports schools. The team was led by the President of the Kettlebell Lifting Federation of the Republic of Dagestan Magelan Saidov.
Athletes Gatam Mamedov (78 kg), Edik Akhmedov (85 kg), Islam Agabekov (95 kg) and Rustam Magomedmirzoev (95 kg +) became silver medalists of the competition. Azim Abakarov won the bronze medal.
In the long cycle relay, the team from Dagestan, which included Islam and Rustam Agabekov, Edik Akhmedov and Azim Abakarov, took third place.
In the overall team competition, the Dagestan team also took third place, confirming the high level of preparation of its athletes.
