Young kickboxers from Buryatia will perform at the Far East tournament

Young athletes from Buryatia will represent the republic at the Championship and Championship of the Far Eastern Federal District in kickboxing in the disciplines of light contact and point fighting (0+). The tournament will be held from March 31 to April 2 in the city of Blagoveshchensk, Amur Region.
About 300 athletes from nine regions will participate in the competition – these are representatives of the Kamchatka, Khabarovsk and Zabaikalsky territories, the Jewish, Sakhalin and Amur regions, Buryatia and Yakutia, the correspondent was told Vostok-Teleinform in the Kickboxing Federation of the Amur Region.
The honor of the republic will be defended by 20 strongest kickboxers in tournament disciplines, who are part of the national team of Buryatia. Its leaders are representatives of Ulan-Ude, who train under the guidance of the senior coach of the national team Boris Baglaev – these are Daria Shelopugina, Anastasia Burdina and Anton Chernykh. Boris Baglaev notes that the representatives of Buryatia have good prospects for medals in the upcoming competitions.
Daria Shelopugina is a repeated winner of the republican competitions, the winner of the XXI All-Russian kickboxing competition “Cup of Siberia”, held in Krasnoyarsk in February this year.
Anastasia Burdina – also repeatedly won the republican competitions, the winner of the championship of the Far Eastern Federal District in 2020, the winner of the All-Russian competitions.
Anton Chernykh is the winner of the championship of the republic in 2022, the open championship and the championship of Irkutsk in the same year, as well as the all-Russian competition “Cup of Eastern Siberia” in 2021.
According to the organizers, the current tournament is of great importance for the athletes, since, based on its results, the Far Eastern Federal District team will be formed to participate in the Championship and National Championship in kickboxing in the “light contact” and “point fighting” sections. The championship of Russia will be held in May in the city of Kemerovo.
Competitions in Blagoveshchensk will be held in two disciplines (in each of which 60 sets of medals will be played) in five age categories for women and men: from 10 to 12 years old, from 13 to 15 years old, from 16 to 18 years old and 19 years and older.
Competition program:
April 1: 11:00 – grand opening, 12:00 – start of fights, 17:00 – solemn rewarding;
April 2: 10:00 – start of fights, 17:00 – rewarding.
