Xiaomi as part of a large-scale presentation of new products showed two new flagship smartphones are the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models.
Both devices are equipped with the top Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is combined with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal memory. The base Xiaomi 13 received a 6.36-inch AMOLED screen and Full HD + resolution, while the Pro version has a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels. Both screens support refresh rates up to 120Hz and HDR10+ technology, while Dolby Vision support is also announced for Xiaomi 13 Pro.
The main difference between smartphones is the camera. Xiaomi 13 has a 32MP front camera, as well as a triple main module: a 54MP main lens with Leica optics, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom, and a 12MP wide-angle lens with Leica optics. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 32MP front camera, a 50MP main lens with an inch matrix from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP wide-angle lens. All cameras have Leica optics and special settings that stylize finished images to the characteristic style of Leica cameras.
Xiaomi 13 received a 4500 mAh battery with support for 67 W fast charging, 50 W wireless charging and 10 W reverse charging. Xiaomi 13 Pro already has a 4820mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging with up to 10W reverse charging. Both models have Dolby Atmos speakers with Dolby Head support, and the Pro version also comes with an IR module.
Both smartphones are IP68 dust and water resistant, and a variety of body styles include a Nano-leather version with a dirt-resistant coating. On sale, new items that will enter the market with a new version of the MIUI 14 proprietary graphical shell will appear on December 14 – the cost of Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in China will be between $575 and $718, respectively.
