The market of the Russian cloud services grew by 42%

The volume of services of Russian cloud services (IaaS) in 2022 will reach 86.6 billion rubles, which is 41.6% more than a year earlier. This assessment is given in its study by the analytical company iKS-Consulting. The active transition of corporate users from foreign cloud services to Russian clouds was facilitated by the entry into force of Western sanctions against Russian companies from the spring of 2022, the authors of the study say.

Due to the departure of foreign players, the demand was redistributed, and the places of the departed foreign suppliers were taken by Russian players. In particular, Yandex Cloud and Selectel grew faster than other leaders and overtook Croc and MTS in the top five, the authors of the study note. At the same time, almost half of the companies used the services of several providers at once, specify iKS-Consulting. The authors of the study call retail the main consumers of clouds.
