American screenwriters announced the beginning of the strike, demanding better working conditions
Screenwriters will go on strike on Tuesday in the US, as they have not reached an agreement with film studios to improve working conditions, informs the Axios portal.
The day before, CNN noted that American screenwriters were threatening to go on strike, which could lead to a halt in the production of new television programs, series and films if their demands for better working conditions and higher wages were not met by Tuesday.
It is specified that the American Writers Guild called for the first strike in 15 years as a result of how consultations on a labor agreement with Hollywood studios fell through.
As it became known, during the strike, representatives of the guild will cease to perform the duties of screenwriters, but they can engage in producing and directing.
