Software developers in Russia will be limited the ability to raise product prices
By the end of May, the Ministry of Digital Development and Russian software developers must sign a charter obliging them to voluntarily curb the rise in prices for domestic software. This is reported “Kommersant”.
According to the terms of the agreement, market participants should not increase prices for their products by more than 15% plus Rosstat’s consumer price index per year.
Russian developers, in turn, supported the initiative, as they believe that it will allow setting a reasonable price increase and balancing purchasing power and profit.
It is assumed that the agreement on limiting price increases will be valid until 2028.
