Journalist Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin this year, published a fresh conversation with Russian entrepreneur and programmer Pavel Durov.

Their meeting took place in the entrepreneur’s office in Dubai.

Pavel Durov expressed his doubts about the security of platforms created in the USA. Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson noted that in the United States, espionage is justified on security grounds.

The Telegram co-founder emphasized the excessive attention paid to the FBI and other American security services.

“We attract too much attention from the FBI and other security agencies, regardless of our location. For example, the last time I was in the US, one of the Telegram engineers was with me. Cybersecurity representatives or agents tried to secretly recruit my engineer to work behind my back,” said Durov.

Answering Carlson’s question about the US government’s attempts to hire his engineer, Durov confirmed that such a situation had occurred. “My engineer told me about it,” he added.

39-year-old Durov, in addition to his Russian passport, has citizenship of Saint Kitts and Nevis, France and the UAE, and is also a billionaire. During his studies, he was a laureate of scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as a three-time laureate of the Potanin Scholarship.
