People’s Artist of the Russian Federation and wife of Rolan Bykov, Elena Sanaeva, who played the Fox Alice in the famous 1976 film “The Adventures of Pinocchio,” spoke about the idea of a remake of the Soviet classic. The cinema legend reacted categorically negatively to Fyodor Bondarchuk’s idea.
According to the actress, three generations grew up watching the famous painting. She believes that such poets and composers as Okudzhava, Entin and Rybnikov do not exist now.
And, in her opinion, there are many actors, but they have poor diction, since they are taught in private schools for money.
“So nothing will work out. The attempts are understandable, but a miracle will not happen. This is funny,” Sanaeva said.
Not a single remake comes close to the quality of the original. And the desire of modern directors to continually remake Soviet classics is connected only with a crisis of ideas and scripts, the artist concluded.
