Parents of disabled children from Saransk discovered worm larvae in the food rations intended for them. These cereals were distributed by educational institutions to more than 150 families where disabled children receive education at home. From our information it follows that the buckwheat and rice were supplied by a catering company from Moscow. Local residents are preparing to contact the prosecutor’s office. Parents note that this is not the first time deliveries have been delayed.
“We had the same story two years ago. I personally wrote a statement to the prosecutor’s office, testified and said that most parents want to receive monetary compensation, but the prosecutor’s office told me that at the correctional school we want to receive food. But I know a lot women-mothers who still prefer monetary compensation,” said the victim.
The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Mordovia apologized to the parents and promised to correct the situation.
