How to free our servants of the people from the fetters of “Big Cyber Brother”
One of the main problems of our turbulent era is the separation of reality from fiction. Sitting in a puddle is very easy these days. Let’s take, for example, this news: “The server could not withstand the influx of visitors at the monument to Zhirinovsky in Minecraft.” The first thought: again we are amused by the Panorama agency – a site of parody news. And no, it’s not a joke. Everything, it turns out, is serious. Well, if you can call such news and such politics serious.
The quoted phrase is the title of the message on the feed of one of the agencies. “12 thousand users from all over the world “came” to the monument to the founder of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky on May 1 in Minecraft, the server could not stand the number of applicants,” the agency further clarifies.
Another major agency did not leave attention to the significant event. Both state-owned news agencies copiously quote Andrey Svintsov, State Duma deputy from the LDPR, who spoke at the “virtual May Day rally”: the digital party of Russia”… The deputy also recalled that experts continue to work on the development of the Cyber Zhirinovsky political algorithm.
Against the background of the above news, the following one no longer seems so nonsense: “In the American city of Orlando, the police were forced to shoot an unknown mentally ill person who violated public order and shouted that he was from the future. The man demanded “at any cost to stop the development of artificial intelligence.”
The lawbreaker allegedly claimed that in the distant future, from where he came on an important mission, humanity is suffering due to the uprising of machines. And when the police tried to twist the man, he used a weapon against them, working on physical principles unknown to science, “from which bright rays of purple came out,” and killed two servants of the law in a shootout.
Scary? But this is really fake news – the news of the aforementioned Panorama. And then to calm down. But the painfully fictional news is in harmony with the feed of real Russian political news. Perhaps the reader will find the author too suspicious. Maybe even considered paranoid. Let it be. But the author cannot but share with the reader a disturbing thought. God bless her, with her reputation, if the fate of mankind is at stake!
The thought is this: what if artificial intelligence, the same Cyber Zhirinovsky, for example, has already taken humanity under its merciless control and started immersing us in the Matrix? And I decided to start with the deputies of the State Duma who invented it. And what? Everything converges. Servants of the people are sitting in their capsule chairs, receiving more and more generous financial support. And more and more detached from reality. Well, that is, roughly speaking, from the people.
Real political life is rapidly being replaced by a virtual one. Virtual rallies, virtual politicians, virtual supporters, virtual solutions to fictitious problems, simulated, cartoonish political struggle … And then, you see, it will come to imitation of elections. However, some argue that it has long since reached. After all, everything can be expected from insidious artificial intelligence.
How to save our politics from this misfortune, how to free politicians from the fetters of the “Big Cyber Brother”, return them to reality? The solution to the problem is described in general terms in the cult film The Matrix. In our case, it will be necessary: a) to tear off the respected political organizations from the feeding tubes; b) plunge headlong into the real problems of the country.
And if it doesn’t work, if they again ask for the state feeder and Minecraft, dip again. And dunk until they come to their senses, until they regain the ability to distinguish true service to the people from imitation. Well, or they won’t be asked to go home, to retire.
The method is excellent in general. Too bad it’s fantastic. However, it is sometimes even more difficult in politics to distinguish the impossible from the possible, even from the inevitable, than truth from fiction.
