Andrei Makarevich criticized those who criticized him for the lack of statements about Crocus on social networks

Musician Andrei Makarevich (included in the register of foreign agents in the Russian Federation) condemned all the critics who accuse him and a number of colleagues of remaining silent after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. On social networks, the artist expressed his opinion about showing off in public space and called for concrete actions instead of conversations.

According to Makarevich, in recent days, “some guardians of the new morality have become angry” due to the fact that he did not comment on the events in Crocus, and were accused of a lack of sympathy.

“I consider publicly tearing out one’s own hair on the Internet a most vulgar activity,” said the musician.

He explained his position this way: “If you can help, help. But there’s no need to bullshit.” The artist also emphasized that, of course, he sympathizes with the victims of the terrorist attack.

“And in general to all residents of Russia,” added Makarevich. “But I certainly can’t help here. Your choice.”

Previously similar spoke out People’s Artist Alla Pugacheva, who began to be criticized due to the lack of statements about the terrorist attack. The singer wrote on the social network that “grief should be in the soul, not on the social network.”
