The famous erudite told when the Ukrainian conflict will end
Anatoly Wasserman is a native Odessa. His childhood and youth passed in Odessa. There he graduated from the Technological Institute of the Refrigeration Industry with a degree in Thermal Physics Engineer. Before the coup d’état, the famous erudite regularly came to Odessa, where he has many relatives and friends.
For the past nine years, Wasserman has not been to his small homeland. He was not even able to attend his father’s funeral and visit his grave. Wasserman told MK correspondents about his family tragedy.
“I flew out of Odessa for the last time on February 25, 2014,” says Wasserman. – That is, when a coup had already taken place in Kyiv, but the terrorists had not yet reached Odessa. Then, in 2014, I said: “If I go to Odessa again, at best, if I’m very lucky, they will kill me immediately after crossing the border.”
– What are the moods in Odessa now? What do your countrymen say?
– I do not maintain relations with anyone, so it is pointless for me to talk about the moods within society. There is such a thing – Stockholm syndrome (attachment of the victim to the perpetrator, arising against the backdrop of a negative event. This connection arises as a result of the work of the instinct of self-preservation – auth.). A person taken hostage is forced to publicly speak like those who captured him. This increases the chances of survival. The only thing that consoles me: judging by the events that we see in the already liberated territories, this syndrome in people passes quickly enough.
– I understand that because of the events taking place in Ukraine, you were not able to attend the funeral of your father?
– Yes. As I said, it is not safe for me in Odessa now.
Who is taking care of the graves of your parents now?
– I do not know for sure. But I think that my brother, who is currently in Odessa, took care of this.
Do you keep in touch with your brother?
– Not. I don’t talk to my brother. Because I’m afraid to expose him to undue attention. Of course, I miss Odessa and my countrymen. But I can’t do anything.
What do you think, when will it all end? What does intuition tell you?
– Intuition is a bad adviser in military affairs. She already let me down a year ago. Speaking in the State Duma, I suggested that Ukraine would start hostilities in mid-August and be crushed in four days. And she began hostilities in mid-February, because of which, in fact, we were forced to carry out NWO. And since NATO got involved in this matter, everything has been dragging on for almost a year. I can only hope that the terrorist organization Ukraine will be liquidated this year. But on what day it will happen, no one knows. Everything will depend on how events develop within NATO.
