Capital repairs of the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment have begun in the center of Moscow. Specialists of the Municipal Economy Complex will replace the granite cladding and cast-iron fencing elements.
“Special attention is paid to the maintenance of the capital’s embankments, all of them regularly undergo scheduled repairs and, if necessary, major ones. This year we will renovate the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment. Specialists of the Urban Services Complex will replace the granite cladding and cast-iron fencing elements, grout the granite cladding, and restore the concrete in the spillway area. Work will take place during the daytime with the involvement of a minimum amount of equipment. We will partially close the sidewalk, traffic will not be limited,” said Moscow Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov.
Krasnopresnenskaya embankment was built in 1965, it runs from Novoarbatsky bridge to Vystavochny lane and is located on the left bank of the Moskva River. The length of the embankment is more than two kilometers.
