Vladislav Ovchinsky: Moscow SEZ resident has developed high-tech sensors to replace foreign ones

The production of laboratory equipment, which previously required the purchase of foreign sensors, is now possible thanks to the development of the Proton plant, a resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Now the new product, which is not inferior to the previous analogues, consists entirely of domestic components. The developed sensors will be used in the design of contourographs. These are special measuring devices for monitoring the contour and roughness of surfaces.
“Previously, they used foreign high-tech sensors. Now these devices consist entirely of Russian components, which are not inferior to imported ones in terms of characteristics and do not increase the final price of the equipment. The enterprise produces 70 units of four types of laboratory metrological equipment per year for scientific and educational institutions. Orders are received annually from about 30 Russian enterprises,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow City Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
Contourographs are needed both for laboratory research, and for oil and gas enterprises, and at specialized plants.
“Today, more than 30 residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ represent the microelectronics, optics and robotics industries. The amount of their investments in the first half of the year amounted to 11 billion rubles, 15 times more than last year,” said Gennady Degtev, Director General of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
