Deputy of the State Duma of Russia from the Liberal Democratic Party Andrey Lugovoi turned to the prosecutor of the city of Moscow Denis Popov, head of the Ministry of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko, director of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mikhail Lipkin, and director of the Institute of Social and Political Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Levashov with a request to check the educational project “History”.
“I turned to supervisory and law enforcement agencies with a request to check the activities of potential foreign agents operating under the guise of the educational project History,” the deputy wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, this project has a “destructive political stance”, having foreign funding and support. He said that “pseudo-historians” are selling a course of lectures on the history of Russia, falsifying historical events and freely interpreting them.
Lugovoy also noted that in addition to the main lecturer, there are also those historians who were not seen anywhere during their professional activities.
