The resident of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” supplied composite materials based on carbon fiber for the reconstruction of the oldest bridge in Vladivostok. Thanks to this, the cost of repairs and the timing of their implementation were reduced.

“The products of the Nanotechnology Center for Composites are widely used in the reconstruction of various socially significant facilities, construction and repair of roads. Today, the company supplies its products to 60 regions of the country,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Capital Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

Ovchinsky clarified that the use of composites makes it possible to carry out work without stopping the operation of structures and in a short time. At the same time, the cost of implementation is 15-20% lower than using traditional reinforcement or repair methods.

The Kazan bridge in Vladivostok, for which capital composite railings and materials were supplied, was built in 1928. The object became the first all-metal welded pontoon in the USSR. At the moment it is covered with concrete.

The materials supplied to the Far East belong to the CarbonWrap system. They are successfully used at other facilities in Primorye. For example, with their help, reinforced concrete structures of houses in Nakhodka and Vladivostok are being repaired.

According to Gennady Degtev, Director General of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, the company’s production complex covers an area of over 12,000 square meters and has 13 workshops.
