The construction of a new workshop in the Golyanovo district is half completed. The details of the renovation of the MEL plant were announced by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“Thus, the specialists completed the assembly of the metal frame and earthworks. Also at the finishing stage is the installation of ceilings and roofs, the workshop is connected to external energy sources. The company is expanding production facilities as part of a large-scale investment project. To do this, the city gave the company a land plot of 0.7 hectares in the Golyanovo district,” the official said. He added that the commissioned shop will create 85 jobs.
The new facility is ahead of schedule, with the project scheduled to be completed in November and the company will receive a Compliance Statement by the end of the year. It is expected that the workshop will increase production volumes up to four thousand elevators per year.
“This year we are celebrating our 70th anniversary, building another workshop, developing and manufacturing new lines of high-speed elevators. The company continues its systematic development, including digitalization and automation of processes, which allows us to achieve high product standards and increase production volumes,” said Ruslan Rodikov, CEO of the company.
Since 2022, Moscow has been allocating plots to businesses for large-scale investment projects at a rental rate of one ruble per year. This leads to lower costs and increases the speed of production of products important for the city.
