Yaroslav Nilov, chairman of the labor committee, deputy head of the LDPR party, said in his Telegram channel that a bill was submitted to the State Duma to abolish the Unified State Examination as a graduation and entrance examination in higher educational institutions.
It is clarified that, according to the new amendments to the law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, the Unified State Examination will be replaced by state exams, which graduates will take under general education programs and use them for further admission.
According to the authors of the initiative, the USE format is ineffective because it does not reflect the real level of knowledge of schoolchildren. In addition, at the moment, the USE has become obsolete as a tool for assessing knowledge, as the number of students who passed this exam with the highest possible scores has sharply decreased.
