An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 hit the Black Sea off the coast of Crimea

Director of the Institute of Seismology and Geodynamics of the Crimean Federal University (KFU) Yuri Volfman said that at 05:42 Moscow time, an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred in the Black Sea at a distance of about 67 kilometers southwest of Sevastopol, as evidenced by preliminary data processing information from the Crimean monitoring stations.
Volfman specified that the data on the earthquake and the location of its epicenter were obtained as a result of processing data that were registered by stations in Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Donuzlav on the western coast of Crimea.
As the director of the Institute of Seismology and Geodynamics of KFU noted, data processing is currently ongoing, and specialists will receive more accurate results in the near future.
Users of social networks reported that the tremors were felt by residents of villages and cities on the southern coast of Crimea, Sevastopol, as well as those living on the upper floors in Evpatoria and Simferopol.
