No more than 200 thousand cases per day. Such a forecast for the peak incidence of COVID-19 was given by epidemiologist Anatoly Altshtein, an employee of the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. At the same time, he added that these are the maximum figures. Most likely, the incidence will be kept at the level of 45-50 thousand people per day.
Altstein added that the forecast is inaccurate. So far, it’s hard to predict anything.
Recall that in Moscow on August 4, an anti-record was recorded for the number of infected per day – 5973 people. In the previous two days, the increase in cases exceeded one hundred percent.
