Common today on the web a photo, which allegedly depicted rock musician Sergei Shnurov in the city of Irmino in the LPR in the company of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin and actor Georgy Bolonev, turned out to be a falsification. Actor Georgy Bolonev, who posted a photo on his Instagram (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and accompanied it with a caption that Sergei Shnurov had arrived in Irmino, passed off a little-known actor Sergei Garusov as the lead singer of Leningrad.
“How much noise from one small cheerful photo … When Seryozha Garusov walked along the streets of Stakhanov, passers-by looked around and joyfully recognized Shnurov in him,” Mr. Bolonev wrote on his page in “In contact with”. He also attached the original photo to his post. Yevgeny Prigozhin was indeed present in the picture.
Earlier on Instagram, the authenticity of the photo was denied by Mr. Shnurov himself, accusing Georgy Bolonev of distributing fake photos. The post was later removed from the actor’s account.
