Tournaments according to the rules of MMA will be shown on August 5 on REN TV

As part of the REN TV Fight Club super series, tournaments will be held for the first time, which will be held according to the rules of MMA.

The main fight of the evening on August 5 will be the entrance to the ring of the world heavyweight champion Jeff Monson and the famous heavyweight fighter Vyacheslav Datsik.

“The Snowman” Monzon is a two-time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship winner, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, and a former UFC Heavyweight Championship contender. The 51-year-old fighter has 60 wins, 26 losses and 1 draw. In 2018, he received Russian citizenship and lives in the Russian Federation.

Datsik is a professional boxer and MMA fighter. As a teenager, he took part in fights without rules and received the nickname “Red Tarzan”. His main features are shocking, eccentricity and unexpected crushing blows.

Also this evening, viewers will see the fight between the king of fist promotions Gadzhi Avtomat Navruzov and the Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez.

The day before, Russian fighter Vyacheslav Datsik and mixed martial arts legend Jeff Monson went through the weigh-in procedure. Datsik showed 127.1 kg on the scales. His opponent was lighter by 23 kg (104.1 kg).

In another pair of fighters who will perform at the fight evening, Gadzhi Navruzov, nicknamed “Automatic”, turned out to be almost 9 kg lighter than the Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez. The weight of the Russian was 109.2 kg, and the Brazilian – 117.9 kg.

Blogger Svyatoslav Kovalenko showed 84.1 kg on the scales, and his rival Sasha Stone almost repeated the result, being only 100 g lighter.

“We will show a little boxing, but we will try to quit, the wrestler must be quit at least once. Jeff is smart. You can’t hit the leg – there is a sickle and a hammer. Don’t hit the side too much – Che Guevara is there (it’s all about the tattoos on Monson’s body – author’s note). Where to beat something, it’s not clear … ”, Datsik told reporters at the weigh-in.

Monson answered harshly: if they were on the canvas, he would strangle the “Red Tarzan”.

The verbal skirmish of the fighters began at the press conference.

“I will show him the nuclear power of the Russian kulaks. I’ll cut him up, try to be weird, use my somersaults. During the fight, there will be an opportunity to be weird, since there are fewer rules than in boxing, you can remember “Mortal Kombat,” Datsik at a press conference without peremptory appeal.

Monson answered “according to the concepts”: “I am a Russian peasant. The male. Look at me – I’m strong, I’m healthy, I’m fast.”

Four pairs of powerful, tough, daring fighters will arrange a battle in a cage according to the rules of mixed martial arts. The regulations do not limit the flight of fantasy of fighters: they will beat, choke, throw each other for the sake of victory and recognition of the fans.
