Vilfand: summer will start with heat in the Volga region and the Urals
This week, hot weather will set in the Volga Federal District and the Urals, then the heat will shift to the south of Western Siberia. This was announced by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand.
“Summer begins with very hot weather in the Volga region, in the Urals and in the south of western Siberia,” Interfax quotes him as saying.
So in the Urals, the air temperature is predicted to be 7-10 degrees above the norm, such weather will last until the end of the week.
The heat that is now observed in the Volga region and the Urals will shift to the south of western Siberia by the end of the week. In the Novosibirsk and Omsk regions, by the end of the week, the temperature is expected to be 5-6 degrees above the norm: from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius, in some areas up to plus 30 degrees.
Earlier, Vilfand said that the beginning of summer in the capital region will be cool.
