In January of this year, the growth in the production of electrical equipment in Moscow amounted to 44.7% compared to the same period last year. City enterprises produce control and measuring equipment, distribution and lighting devices, cables, batteries and much more.

“Moscow manufacturers of electrical equipment are actively mastering new technologies to meet the growing demand for their products, as well as expanding their portfolio of orders and increasing production volumes,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

The Vice Mayor added that as a result, in January of this year, 44.7% more such products were manufactured in the capital than in the same month of the previous year. In addition, over the same period, the volume of goods shipped to customers increased by 30% and exceeded 8.1 billion rubles.

According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department, in January of this year, manufacturers of electric motors, switchgears, transformers, generators, as well as instrumentation increased output by 75.6% compared to the same month in 2022, and cable factories – by 3.5%.

The city provides active support to the enterprises of the industry. For example, it concludes offset contracts with companies or assigns the status of an industrial complex.
