In addition to the drone, the Russian Helicopters holding (owned by Rostec) received type certificates from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the latest helicopters – the modernized Ansat and the cargo version of the Mi-171A3.
“The BAS-200 drone, which became the first certified UAV in Russia, opens up new opportunities for using such equipment in the interests of the population, business, and the state,” said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, as quoted by press office Rostec.

The BAS-200 drone with a maximum takeoff weight of 185 kg is designed according to the classic single-rotor design with a tail rotor, equipped with a rotary piston engine with a maximum power of 54 horsepower. It is used for cargo delivery and terrain monitoring in the interests of geological exploration, forest protection, agriculture, search and rescue, etc.
