United Russia passed the mandate in the Duma of Pereslavl after the failure of colleagues to comply with the court decision

Aleksey Alyabyev, a member of the United Russia faction in the Pereslavl-Zalessky City Duma, wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will. Kommersant has a copy of the statement. This is the second time United Russia leaves the City Council in November. The first speaker was Sergei Kornienko, who announced his resignation after the assembly did not have enough votes to enforce a court decision to remove the mandates of two deputies convicted of corruption.
Mr. Alyabyev did not explain the reasons for the resignation. Sergei Khabibulin, head of the Just Russia – For Truth faction in the Yaroslavl Regional Duma, told Kommersant that United Russia decided to resign the mandate for the same reason as the speaker: due to deputies’ failure to comply with a court decision and refusal to appoint a competition for the position of mayor on demand prosecutors. The EP faction has seven members left.
Enforcement proceedings were initiated against the Pereslavl-Zalessky City Duma in connection with the non-execution of a court decision. The Duma must pay a performance fee of 50,000 rubles. After the resignation of Sergei Kornienko, Galina Mironova (“United Russia”) took the post of speaker of the Duma.
