The Turkish TV channel TRT Haber, citing its own correspondents, reports that Israeli police used force against journalists of the publication in Jerusalem. According to the correspondent, the police officer smashed the lens of the publication’s cameraman with a blow from his butt, but he himself was not injured.
According to the channel, its journalists planned to film near the Al-Aqsa mosque during the traditional Friday prayer for Muslims. As correspondents noted, when they were filming the use of tear gas by Israeli security forces against Palestinians heading to the mosque, the film crew was attacked, and a police officer broke the cameraman’s lens with a rifle butt.
The journalists emphasized that, despite the violence and obstacles they face, they intend to continue their work.
