Traktor beat Amur for the third time this season

Traktor continued the home series with a principled match against Amur. In an equal game, the hosts pulled out a 3-2 victory thanks to a goal from Maxim Shabanov. Also, Sergei Telegin and Temu Pulkkinen excelled among the Chelyabinsk team.
After losing the match against Metallurg in overtime, a number of changes took place in Traktor’s roster. In the first pair of defense, Alexander Shepelev appeared instead of the retired Adam Almqvist, in the second pair, instead of unsuccessfully playing Igor Isaev, Sergei Telegin, who returned from injury, came out, in the third pair, Roman Manukhov was announced. There is only one substitution in the attack line: Ivan Stezhkin played instead of Yegor Fateev in the fourth line. Ilya Proskuryakov returned to the gate after a two-match pause.
In the first period Traktor held the initiative tightly and put pressure on the guests’ goal. Nikita Tertyshny, Andrey Stas and Temu Pulkkinen had the most powerful chances, but failed to score again.
But in the second period, “Tractor” fired, with a doublet. Sergei Telegin scored with a one-minute difference (a long-range power-play shot) and Temu Pulkkinen (a quick goal after a throw-in won by Petr Khokhrakov). True, Amur also quickly won back one goal. Sergei Lapin took advantage of a mistake by defender Artem Blazhievskiy.
In the third period, Amur seemed to level the game and even managed to win back. Slovenian Jan Drozg converted the majority after the removal of Alexander Shepelev. But, Traktor found a player who did not agree to overtime. Maxim Shabanov won the fight behind the gates and, after Mikhail Goryunov-Rolgizer’s transfer, snatched the victory for Chelyabinsk.
