Khabarovsk “Amur” on the road lost to “Tractor” with a score of 2:3

The “tigers” managed to win back two goals, but it did not work out to transfer the game to overtime – the Chelyabinsk team scored one more, victorious

In November, this is the third match for Amur with Traktor, only this time they had to play not in Khabarovsk. In the first two matches, the Tigers managed to earn points – in first match twoin the second, one. There was another match in October there Khabarovsk lost with a minimum score. This time the Far Eastern team arrived in Chelyabinsk after combat match in Astana and was determined to win, it was only necessary to gather strength. The hosts were not going to give up their place in the top eight to a direct competitor.

The Khabarovsk team spent the first period neither shaky nor rolly, the Chelyabinsk team were more active and if they didn’t score, then Evgeny Alikin was to blame for this, who played excellently at the last frontier, well, luck hasn’t turned away from the guests yet. How else to explain that out of 13 shots on goal, not one went on target. However, out of 7 shots, the “tigers” also did not have a single scoring one. The team went to the break dissatisfied with themselves with the score 0:0. Judging by the faces of the coaches, the second game segment promised to be much more fun, however, as always with these two teams.

The very first removal in the second twenty-minute period was fatal for Amur. On 31 minutes Maksim Shabanov tried to go over the board and shoot at the goal – the goalkeeper was on the spot, but the defenders fouled Maksim and Traktor got two minutes of play on the power play. He had 57 seconds to realize the excess. Sergey Telegin opened the score with a throw from the blue line. Two minutes later Traktor scores again. Won throw-in at the opponent’s goal, transfer to Pulkkinen’s Theme, a powerful shot from under the defenders – a goal.

Amur, which had woken up by this time, was not going to give up. A minute and a half later, Sergey Lapin steals from the Traktor defenders, goes one on one with the goalkeeper and scores. Unfortunately, it was not possible to play more in this period. But it turned out in the third. But in the beginning there was a video preview and an unaccounted goal at the 45th minute. But on the 47th minute, Jan Drozg still equalizes the score by converting the next majority of Amur. There was a hope to come forward, or at least take the game into overtime, but failed. At the 53rd minute Maxim Shabanov put Traktor ahead again and the hosts failed to score more. The result – the victory of “Tractor” with a score of 3:2.

Our team has been waking up for a long time. In the first period, they were not like themselves. Nevertheless, losing 0:2, we found the strength to recoup. But the price of an individual mistake was not to save the situation, to concede a goal and lose. Our team play is not the best in attack. Missed two goals in a row? Unfortunately, we have such moments, not the first time. We need to work to fix this. We have no right to play like this, one might say, in play-offs. Three defeats from Traktor? If the opponent won, it means stronger. But all the matches were stubborn, equal, our players are not enough in the final phase due to their age. All games from a knife. In each match there was a double-edged, interesting hockey, the fans like it. There is a youthful excitement, due to the right actions, then experience and implementation will come, and it will be much more effective, – noted Vadim Yepanchintsev, head coach of HC Amur.

The Traktor mentor liked the hockey that his team played, the score on the scoreboard even more so.

– We had a good first period and the second. We played well, scored on the majority, from a throw-in. These are the points that we work on in the training process. Unfortunately, we made an unnecessary mistake and conceded a goal. At the beginning of the third period, they played cautiously. However, the opponent equalized. And we started playing the hockey that we played in the first and second periods, created chances and were able to score. We are happy with the victory, important two points, – stressed Anvar Gatiyatulin, head coach of HC Traktor.
