Theropod dinosaur bones found in Kuzbass

The governor of the Kemerovo region, Sergei Tsivilev, announced in his Telegram channel that scientists have found theropod fossils for the first time on the territory of Kuzbass. Theropod is a predatory dinosaur of the Cretaceous period.
According to the head of the region, this discovery of Kuzbass scientists is a real breakthrough in paleontology. It is specified that this is the first such find in Russia.
“Our scientists have the opportunity to conduct paleontological excavations. During the work, specialists can study dinosaurs that lived 125 million years ago,” Tsivilev said.
He added that according to preliminary data, this dinosaur was about a meter high and about two meters long.
