Students of the National Trade and Economic University asked teacher Nina Ivanchenko to lecture in Ukrainian. In response, the candidate of economic sciences, associate professor of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics was indignant.
“Why are you, Ukrainian speakers, not at the front? Why are your parents at home with you,” she asked. This dialogue was recorded by the students. The teacher also complained that from the first day they began to “treat” her.
Nina Ivanchenko was fired from her job for “violating pedagogical ethics, using the language of the aggressor and making unlawful statements about students.” This was reported on the website of the university. Under what article she was deprived of her job is unknown.
On the eve of Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte suggested to replace Russian with Polish, which is now taught in schools as a second foreign language.
