There are 30 municipal programs to promote public health in Yakutia

Since 2020, the republic has been implementing the regional program “Strengthening public health in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for 2020-2024.”

The document includes a list of activities aimed at developing a healthy lifestyle, a responsible attitude towards one’s health and the health of one’s children and loved ones, and informing residents about factors harmful and dangerous to human health.

As part of the decree of the Head of Yakutia “On strategic directions for strengthening public health and the healthcare system in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”, in 2024, municipalities of the region must fully implement municipal programs “Strengthening Public Health”.

With the methodological support of employees of the Republican Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention in Yakutia, 30 municipal programs for strengthening public health were developed and approved. Programs are being implemented in Amginsky, Abyysky, Allaikhovsky, Aldansky, Anabarsky, Vilyuisky, Verkhoyansky, Verkhnekolymsky, Verkhnevilyuysky, Kobyaisky, Megino-Kangalassky, Momsky, Mirninsky, Zhigansky, Nizhnekolymsky, Namsky, Nyurbinsky, Oleneksky, Oymyakonsky, Srednekolymsky, Suntarsky, Tattinsky, Tomponsky Ust -Maysky, Ust-Aldansky, Ust-Yansky, Churapchinsky, Eveno-Bytantaysky uluses, in the urban district of Zhatai and the capital of the republic. This represents 83% of the total target.

In the Lensky, Bulunsky, Neryungri, Gorny, Khangalassky, Olekminsky uluses, municipal programs to strengthen public health are currently at the stage of development and implementation.
