On March 17, a skiathlon was planned in the program of the Russian Cross-Country Championship. Distance 10+10 km. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region.

The girls were the first to hit the ski track. The starting protocol included 56 participants. The strongest group started in the first numbers – this gave an advantage on a prepared and still unbroken track.

For the first half, the athletes ran the classics. From the first kilometers of the distance, Anastasia Kuleshova from the Nizhny Novgorod region took the lead. After changing their skis, Lidiya Gorbunova from Tatarstan and Alina Pekletsova, representing the Arkhangelsk region, set off in pursuit of the leader.

In the end, everything was decided a kilometer before the finish. Anastasia Kuleshova took the lead and finished in splendid isolation. In second place is Alina Pekletsova, who brought silver to the Pomorie team. Bronze went to Lydia Gorbunova.
