The trial of the murdered father of the Khachaturian sisters will drag on until the fall

The reason is the constant absence of witnesses

The decision in the case of the murdered father of the Khachaturian sisters will not be made earlier than the beginning of autumn. The consideration of the case in the Butyrsky Court is delayed due to the failure of many witnesses to appear.

The criminal case was opened in the spring of 2021. The late Mikhail Khachaturyan is accused of torturing and raping his own daughters. Initially, the case was initiated based on the testimony of the girls, who themselves were accused of killing their father. The crime, we recall, was committed in July 2018 in an apartment on Altufevskoye Highway; the sisters were 17, 18 and 19 years old at that time. The criminal case against the sisters themselves has been suspended until a decision is made in the case against Khachaturyan.

As MK learned, the court interrogated the mother and brother of the Khachaturian sisters and began interviewing the girls’ friends, including classmates and classmates. But only two girls spoke about the relationships in this family. They confirmed the Khachaturian sisters’ version of violence. The remaining witnesses have not appeared in court over the past three weeks for various reasons. That is why the process promises to drag on for several more months. The sisters themselves remain under the same preventive measure – they are prohibited from meeting each other. Two sisters live with their young friends and are undergoing psychological rehabilitation, another sister lives separately. All the sisters work and periodically attend the trial of their murdered father.
