State Duma deputy Khamzaev urged to tighten control over the sale of alcoholic products
Head of the Sober Russia project, State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev conversation with the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, he expressed an opinion on the need to tighten control over the production and sale of alcoholic beverages in Russia.
He noted that the production of low-alcohol products is not licensed and is not controlled in terms of quality.
In this regard, Khamzaev called for full licensing of alcoholic products and not to allocate them to separate preferences.
He also stressed that it is necessary to introduce personal responsibility on the ground and conduct mandatory inspections of small and medium businesses.
In connection with the latest cases of surrogate alcohol poisoning, the death toll in the Ulyanovsk region has risen to 18. An entrepreneur from the Samara region has already been detained in the case of poisoning residents, and the investigative committee opened a criminal case.
In addition, it was reported that a 20-year-old boy who was poisoned by surrogate alcohol died in a hospital in Udmurtia.
