The Asbest City Court (Sverdlovsk Region) temporarily banned the return of a 13-year-old teenager to special school No. 124 in Yekaterinburg, who was sexually abused there by other students. This was reported to Kommersant by lawyers Georgy Krasnov and Olesya Bortnikova.
Earlier, the defense filed a lawsuit for early termination of the teenager’s stay in a special institution. By court decision, until the case is considered on the merits, the police are obliged to refrain from forcibly returning the boy to a special school.
“In justification, the court indicated that the child was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and the psychiatrist gave recommendations to change the social environment and stop staying in special educational and educational institutions of a closed type, since this could already lead to a pronounced anxiety disorder,” the lawyers noted. Now the boy is with his mother.
The fact that the teenager was subjected to violence in special school No. 124 became known after another student escaped from there. He turned to the ICR and spoke about cases of bullying against pupils. As a result, a criminal case was initiated on sexual abuse of a child (clause “b” part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Charges were brought against two students of a special school who are now under arrest.
