The State Duma proposed introducing additional leave for the birth of grandchildren

Russians were offered five days of additional leave on the occasion of the birth of grandchildren. This initiative was developed by State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova, who sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov.

According to the law, employers are required, upon written request from an employee, to provide leave of up to five calendar days in certain cases. Such cases include the birth of a child.

The deputy believes that in this case, help from loved ones is critical. Traditionally, older relatives help new parents.

How it conveys RTYana Lantratova called on the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov to consider the feasibility of introducing the right to additional leave on the occasion of the birth of grandchildren - five calendar days without pay.

The politician is confident that such a measure will help strengthen the family and provide an opportunity for grandparents to help improve the everyday life of a family with a baby.
