The State Duma adopted in the first reading bill on the prohibition of advertising on information resources of foreign agents. The project was supported by 396 deputies.
According to the bill, advertising of information resources of foreign agents will be prohibited. Individuals and legal entities will also not be able to distribute their advertising messages on such resources. The initiative concerns websites, blogs and social networks.
“Many of the scoundrels who received this money do not hide the fact that they used it to finance the Kyiv Nazi regime, which is killing our soldiers, officers, and civilians. The passage of the law will stop this practice. Violation of the ban will be punishable by up to two years in prison,” said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin (quoted from website State Duma).
