A man in a skirt who hid goods in his anus was detained by police

The antiques that were in the depths of the “fake Scotsman” had to be disposed of

Texas antiques dealers encountered such a “thief” for the first time. A broad-shouldered man in a kilt walked around the store for hours, looking at the products on display. However, this was not just familiarization with the assortment, but “pricing”. As it turned out, the strange visitor hid the products he liked in his anus, and then put them back on the shelves. The police are already dealing with the owner of bottomless buttocks.

Texas antiques dealers struggled to believe their eyes when they saw surveillance footage of a kilt-clad buyer furtively (and astonishingly) stuffing artifacts into his buttocks before returning them to the shelves.

Rumors quickly spread among the business community after the stocky man was first spotted Feb. 8 at a Houston Antique Gallery.

“I had to watch the footage a couple of times to make sure I understood what I was looking at. I’ve seen quite a lot of things here, but not this,” gallery manager Susan Golden shared her impressions with Fox 26.

Mitchell S. West, 60, was arrested Feb. 15 and charged with one count of mishandling items including a makeup brush, “Restoration Hardware,” an antique bottle opener and a “tobacco tent tin.”

Police are still searching for the female companion who apparently accompanied the “fake Scotsman.”

Golden added that this man with a strange hobby was seen in the store several times. He wandered around the hall for hours without making any purchases. As early as February 10, the gallery manager called the police after seeing him take a makeup brush and accessories, “stuff both items into his anus, and then return them to the shelf.”

Later that day, he showed up at a nearby curiosity shop and did the same thing with a bottle opener and a tin can.

“Both complainants advised that they had to throw away items used in this incident because they had feces on them,” the affidavit states.

After his description was circulated, frightened dealers at other outlets realized that he was in their stores too.

By February 15, calls were coming in from “multiple concerned citizens” about a man who they said “was seen selecting items from multiple vendors and placing the selected items into his rectum.”

“The man was then observed removing items and placing them back on the shelves. Upon further investigation, detective constables were able to positively identify the man as Mitchell West,” said Constable Mark Herman of the Harris County Police Department.

Due to the loss of numerous antique items that had to be disposed of, deputies obtained a warrant for his arrest for criminal mischief. Members of Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations Unit then located and detained Mitchell West.

West’s bail was set at $100. Stores estimate the damage caused by the man in the kilt at $74 at the Antique Shop and $130 at the Antique Gallery.
