The State Commission again cleared the first Angara-A5 launch vehicle for launch

The State Commission announced readiness for the first launch of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle with the Orion upper stage from the Vostochny cosmodrome. According to information provided by Roscosmos representatives, the launch is scheduled for noon Moscow time.

“Today at the Vostochny cosmodrome, the state commission authorized the refueling and launch of the first space rocket, Angara-A5,” the official statement said.

According to the commission’s decision, the launch of the rocket from pad 1A is scheduled for 12:00 Moscow time on April 11. Approximately 12.5 minutes after launch, the Orion upper stage with the experimental payload will separate from the Angara third stage and continue insertion into the desired orbit.
