– 6 years ago, a childhood dream came true. I purchased a piece of forest on the coast of the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg. And the first thing I ordered a bath. There are three sections in the house: a recreation area, a steam room, a washing room with a shower. I want everything to be completely natural. I even decided to order earthenware.

And finally, this year I found time to put the stove there. And it was on September 4, six years after the purchase, being on the Black Sea coast, that I decided to purchase it. The foreman, who is building a bath, began to demand that I do everything quickly. And I began to remember the lessons of mathematics. To calculate the volume, you need to multiply the width by the depth and height, and we get cubic meters. No wonder I went to school (laughs). In general, I almost ordered a beautiful stove, but the foreman said that it would not fit in his car. I looked into the characteristics of this stove and realized that the volume of the stove indicated on the Internet is much less than what I calculated. So today I gave myself a “five” and refused this purchase.

– What kind of oven do you want?

– Be sure to use wood, so that there is a smell, so that there is glass behind which you can see how everything is burning there. And, of course, to have a tank where the water would be heated. At least 30 liters. I have a small wig. From stones I want to order jadeite or rose quartz. And add aromatic oils to the stove that doesn’t exist yet (laughs).

– That is, the first thing that appeared on your site was a bathhouse. But what about the house?

– But there is no house. There are 63 trees, mostly pines, of which 10 were planted by hand. To everyone who comes to me here, I now say: “Let’s go to the forest, dig up a pine tree and plant it on the site.” Well, the site is a piece of the forest, we have a mycelium there. Maybe I’ll plant lingonberries, wild raspberries. Wild bees will fly there. I have already planted spruces of different species. I have a friend – an actor from Hollywood, a descendant of Catherine and Potemkin, and when he was visiting me, I said: “Here’s a lilac seedling from the nursery, plant it.” And now I will tell everyone that it was planted by royal hands. I really cherish the lilac, I hope a big tree will grow. There is also a cedar that I planted under the ice…

– How is that?

– It’s just that when I bought it, the ground was already covered with ice – it was necessary to plant it in the dead of autumn. And then I took pills for lighting a fire, kindled it on ice, it melted, then took out a shovel, crowbar and dug to the ground. I planted a cedar, and he lives. Cedars, like pines, are amazing trees. In the first three years, they spread their roots and so check whether there is where they can strengthen themselves or not. And when they understand that it is possible, they quickly go up. Nothing interferes with my cedar. There, however, there is a birch grove nearby, and birch trees drink a lot of water – up to 200 liters per year. I don’t know if the cedar will get it?

– That is, your site is more a place for unity with nature?

– Certainly. In our village, many live all year round, leaving the cities. But I don’t live yet. In general, I feel sorry for removing trees there. If I build a house, it will be a tower – narrow, but high, where I will languish like a maiden in a tower (smiles). But the Gulf of Finland will be visible.

By the way, I also bought a whole set for barbecue at a discount: a brazier and so on, all cast iron, cast. He is at home waiting in the wings. Weighs 14 kilograms. Well, since the bath is made of logs, everything else must be done in the appropriate style.

– Is it expensive now to install a bath from foreign materials, especially in the context of sanctions?

– I have not yet been interested in this issue. But now I’m doing a bath very on time – not at the beginning of summer, but at the end, when there are discounts. A new stove costs from 20 thousand rubles. And this year I hired a team, and they did the interior decoration …. So, I’m now thinking: did they make tiles for me in the washroom? – By the way, do household members somehow help in the bathing issue?

– At me all are far from this theme. And when I start to tell them something, they tell me: “Mom, no, you yourself are there, you know everything. And I have a process from scratch, but I really like it, it’s a pleasant chore. Looking at the sea and sunbathing, you solve some everyday problems that you could not solve for five years!
