Grieves over the death of a friend and the legendary Uzbek actor Rustam Sagdullaev. About why Urazaev left so early, the star of the film “Only “old men” go to battle” told MK correspondents.

– For me, the news of Rustam’s departure was a big surprise, – Sagdullaev sighs. – He was incredibly energetic, very sociable person, with humor! A real workaholic – he wanted to take on everything, did not refuse any work. At the same time, little does he know that Rustam was not only an actor and director, but also a great artist. He graduated from an art school in Tashkent. In general, he was a comprehensively developed person. I wanted to know a lot! His lust for life, of course, was simply incredible.

– Girlfriend of the artist Mila Romanidi she told us that about his illness – oncology – only the closest knew. Did he really tell almost no one?

– Nobody. For myself, it was a surprise: how is it so? It seemed like he was so healthy, he managed to do everything …

– The disease, as I understand it, progressed rapidly?

– Rustam turned to the doctors late, in my opinion. If it had been earlier, maybe things would have been different.

– He didn’t take much care of his health?

– Of course, he did not follow the way he should. He didn’t even have time to eat. This is a common occurrence for filmmakers: irregular working hours, irregular meals. In addition, he did not pay much attention to food. He’s still a eater! What is at hand, then eats.

– Did you often communicate with Rustam?

– Of course, we were always in touch. When I flew to Moscow for some projects, we always met, found time to make pilaf, met with someone, joked, recalled different stories. It is a pity that Rustam left so young.

Did he ever talk about death?

– No, what are you! He was such a lover. And such a person will talk about death? Never in my life! He had many plans for the future. What a pity that he did not have time to bring them to life.
