The son of pensioner Margarita Gorneeva, who died in an explosion in Balashikha near Moscow on Wednesday morning, does not believe in her guilt. The man claims that the 86-year-old mother’s apartment recently had the stove replaced.
As MK found out, this was a planned replacement of the stove. Also, Margarita Alekseevna’s son stated that he was not aware of complaints about gas odors from the elderly woman’s apartment.
“She was unsociable, yes. I talked to few people. She even refused any social assistance – she looked after herself,” the man added.
He also noted that on the eve of the explosion Gorneeva was away and arrived only on Monday evening.
Investigators are checking two main versions of what happened – a malfunction of gas equipment and careless handling. However, according to our data, the suicide version will also be checked.
Let us remind you that a powerful explosion occurred today at 8.20 in house 10 on Oktyabrskaya Street. The epicenter was in apartment 86 on the 4th floor, in the 3rd entrance. According to the latest data, 6 people were killed, including two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, when the ceilings collapsed on them during rescue operations.
