The Moscow City Court’s verdict for treason against the founder of Group-IB, Ilya Sachkov, was recognized as legal, this decision was made by the First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction.
“The verdict of the Moscow City Court is left unchanged, the appeal is not satisfied,” the court said.
Thus, the verdict came into force.
Let us remind you that Sachkov was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Sachkov’s detention occurred at the end of September 2021; he was accused of issuing information constituting a state secret. The materials of the criminal case were classified, and the process of considering the case took place behind closed doors. Sachkov himself denied his guilt.
