The accident occurred on the main water conduit in Krasnoperekopsk in Crimea, the city was left without water, the regional information policy department of the Ministry of Information reported. About 25 thousand people live in Krasnoperekopsk.
According to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Water of Crimea”, the accident occurred on the main water conduit with a diameter of 600 mm. Water supply is limited in Krasnoperekopsk, as well as in the villages of Honorary, Pyatikhatka, Sovkhoznoye, Tavrichesky. It is planned to replace 10 m of the emergency section of the water conduit, 10 people and five pieces of equipment are involved.
“The supply of water to local residents is organized. Classes in kindergartens and schools are going on as usual… Water supply is promised to be restored by the end of the day,” the Ministry of Information said (quoted by TASS).
Earlier today, February 28, in Evpatoria happened an accident on the water conduit, more than 120 thousand were left without water. Water supply is limited in the city, drinking water is organized, classes in schools and kindergartens have been suspended. What caused the incident is unknown.
