Turkish geologist Osman Bektas has warned of the imminent death of the Black Sea. He spoke about this in an interview. bTV.
The death is provoked by climate warming, which violates the structure of the sea.
Bektash pointed out that the Black Sea consists of three layers:
the top layer, rich in oxygen, where marine life lives;
an intermediate “protective” layer, where the temperature is not higher than 8 degrees, it plays the role of an air conditioner;
bottom where toxic gases have accumulated.
The intermediate layer has begun to thin out due to global warming. In this regard, the expert predicts that in the future the lower layer with poisonous gases will mix with the upper one and will threaten both the inhabitants of the sea and those who live next to it.
