The chief sanitary doctor of the Kamchatka Territory, Yana Gospodarik, told reporters about the condition of workers hospitalized after mass poisoning in the city of Elizovo.
According to her, all the victims (41 construction workers) are working on the construction of the new airport terminal building – they feel satisfactory and are recovering.
“As part of the epidemiological investigation, we took samples and sent them to laboratories in Kamchatka and Moscow. According to preliminary data, the cause of the poisoning was an unknown gastroenteritis,” Gospodarik said.
Earlier it was reported that construction workers were poisoned after receiving food from a local canteen. They were hospitalized with signs of acute food poisoning.
