As the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified, the incident occurred in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. An employee of the third fire and rescue unit, Ivan Berezhnov, carried a suffocated dog out of the fire and carried out resuscitation measures for 20 minutes.

“There were two people and two dogs in the burning apartment. The people inhaled smoke, they were handed over to the doctors unconscious. One animal died, and the second was resuscitated by one of the firefighters,” the report says.

The man applied an oxygen mask to the dog’s face, massaged the heart, rubbed its paws, and after 20 minutes the animal began to breathe. Rescuers took the dog with them.
