Rosaviatsia recalled responsibility for unauthorized launch of a drone
The Federal Air Transport Agency warned that an unauthorized launch of a drone in Russia could lead to fines and imprisonment in the event of serious bodily harm or death.
The department wrote about this in its telegram channel.
So, individuals can be fined from 20 to 50 thousand rubles, and legal entities – from 250 to 500 thousand rubles.
If someone is injured or killed while using a drone, the violator can be imprisoned for up to 7 years.
Illegal photo and video shooting from a drone can also lead to a criminal case: treason, espionage, disclosure of state secrets, illegal receipt of information containing state secrets or violation of the rules for handling documents constituting state secrets. Most often, violations are associated with the unlawful use of the airspace of drones, as well as with their non-registration with the Federal Air Transport Agency. The agency takes into account drones with a maximum take-off weight of 0.15 kg to 30 kg.
Launches of civilian drones are carried out in specially designated areas restricted for the flights of other aircraft, recalled in the Federal Air Transport Agency. Supervisory authorities are especially careful to comply with air legislation in the event of drone launches in the areas of control zones of airfields and heliports, restricted areas, restricted areas, special zones, over places of public events, official sports competitions, security events, as well as at a distance of less than 5 km from control points of uncontrolled airfields and landing sites.
Prohibited zones and restricted flight zones are established by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation by their orders, which are published in the public domain.
